Ophelia "Febe" Romero, 84, of Fredericktown, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Ozark Manor Care Center in Fredericktown. She was born March 13, 1933 in Portageville, Missouri, a daughter of Robert Malcolm and Sara Lee (Jinkins) Cromwell.
On September 21, 1971 she married Jerry Romero who preceded her in death January 27, 2006. Also preceding Mrs. Rombero were her parents; son Dennis Morris; sisters Maxine Sappington and Betty Adcock; and granddaughter Angie Cross.
Survivors include sons Roger (Sue) Morris of Harrison, Arkansas and Bill Morris of Rockford, Illinois; daughter Angela (Courtney) Pittman of Waco, Texas; brother Robert Cromwell of Fredericktown; sisters Robbie (Larry) White of Fredericktown, Jeri Eaton (Ray Brown) also of Fredericktown and Donna (Leonard) Quinn of Chesterfield, Virginia; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Febe had been a certified nurses aide at the Hill Top Nursing Home in Piedmont, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, gardening and her dolls. She was a member of the Bibleway Penecostal Church in Doniphan, Missouri.
Services were September 29, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Internment was at the Garnet Hunt Cemetery in Doniphan.
