The Fredericktown High School Tennis Team won two of three matches last week.

August 22, the Lady Cats won 8-1, at Potosi.

In singles, Bailey Stamp won 8-4, Maddie Burrows won 8-4, Victoria Peppers won 8-0, Taylor Starkey won 8-0, Amber Collier won 8-1, and Elizabeth Snyder lost 8-4.

In doubles, Stamp and Burrows won 8-0, Peppers and Starkey won 8-3, and Collier and Snyder won 8-4.

In JV action, the Cats Liz Hinkle won her singles match 6-1. In doubles, Hinkle and Lexi Pogue won 6-1 and Elie Fischer and Alyssa Pierson lost, 6-3.

August 23, the Cats defeated Cape Central, 5-4, here. In singles, Stamp lost 8-2, Burrows won 8-6, Peppers won 8-3, Starkey won 8-3, Collier lost 8-5, and Snyder lost 8-4.

In doubles, Stamp and Burrows lost 8-5, Peppers and Starkey won 8-5, and Collier and Snyder won 9-7.

In the junior varsity, Ariahna Green lost her singles match 6-2, Hinkle and Pogue lost their doubles match 7-5, and Fischer and Pierson lost their doubles match, 6-1.

August 24, the Cats lost 8-1 to Farmington, here. In singles, Stamp lost 8-0, Burrows lost 8-3, Peppers lost 8-5, Starkey won 9-7, Collier lost 8-5, and Snyder lost 8-4. The Cats also lost all three doubles matches. In junior varsity, Hinkle lost her singles match and Fischer-Pogue and Green-Pierson also lost their doubles matches.

The Lady Cats are at Kennett today and compete in the Sikeston Invitational, Thursday.
