In today’s world there seems to be the idea that there is no right or wrong.
According to many, there are no absolutes. Everything is acceptable. Of course for many, if you disagree with someone, then you are wrong. No discussions allowed.
I can’t help but think back to when we were in school. If you missed questions or answers on your papers, you were graded accordingly. If you misbehaved in class, you were punished. Every sports team had a winner and a loser. Not everyone was rewarded for simply being there and trying. Good sportsmanship was expected and required (no questions asked). Respect was a given. When you competed in choir, band, science, quiz bowls, art; whatever it might be, there were always winners and losers. Questions were either right or wrong; no exceptions.
The same is true as we have gone out into the work world. In our everyday lives, we make decisions that will affect not only ourselves, but quite often those around us. Will we drink and drive or stay sober? Will we be honest on our jobs or cheat in some small ways? Will we be faithful to our families, or desire our own pleasures more? Will we be interested in others or selfish and self-centered?
From the foundation of the earth, God put into place rules by which we are to abide and be judged; right and wrong. Look at Adam and Eve. They had a perfect life until one of them decided they would do their own thing, sin, and disobey God. They paid the price and we all know the consequences that resulted.
Our world is in turmoil. Many are seeking their owns desires and wishes. We have forgotten how to respect and honor one another and no longer seek what God would desire from us all. I believe it’s not too late for all of us to turn from our sinful ways, ask forgiveness, and learn to live as God would have us live. But I will say this, I believe the time is short and then comes judgement.
Please make certain you know the True right from wrong and follow in His commandments. It will change your world and the world of those around you.
