Like everyone else, I am looking forward to seeing the solar eclipse which, no doubt, has been orchestrated by God, set in motion, perhaps from the beginning of time. I think the awe of this occasion calls for a word from our Father, Creator of all.

Isaiah 45:12 I have made the Earth, and created man upon it: I , even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. (18) For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself, that formed the Earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in van, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord and there is none else.

That God, who can do such marvelous things, would be concerned about the likes of me, is a mystery. But I am just so grateful and thankful that He really does care about me now, and that he cares about where I'm going to spend the rest of the eternal life He has given me. I know He wants the very best for me, and for you too, because of His great love for us.

I am thinking that maybe God has set up this eclipse to give people a reality check; to remind us that He is still in charge, and He is the one we are going to have to answer to when the time comes.

I will close today with a quote that friend Annie Hicks has posted in her home. "In a world where you can be anything, be kind." And Annie, certainly is that.
