The Fredericktown High School Football Team lost to Central 54-17, Friday night in Park Hills.

Fredericktown received the opening kickoff. After Malachi Kyle's return set the Cats up at the Rebels 41 yard line. Fredericktown marched to the 20, before turning the ball over on downs.

Central's first drive of the game ended with a punt, as did the Cats' second drive.

Midway through the first quarter, Central went 35 yards for a score as quarterback Jace Bland capped the short drive with a one-yard run. A bad snap forced a scrambling score on the PAT and the Rebels led 8-0 with 4:52 to play in the quarter.

Central scored 61 seconds later to make it 14-0. The Rebels added one more first quarter score and another four seconds into the second to make it 27-0. Two more second quarter touchdowns gave the Rebels a 40-0 lead.

The Cats go on the board with 1:27 to play in the first half, when Colten Jordan booted a school-record 47-yard field goal to make it 40-3.

Fredericktown opened the second half with a pair of touchdowns. The first came on a five-yard run by Mike Parrish. Kevin van Raalten's PAT made it 40-10 with 1:26 to play in the third quarter.

The Cats scored again on a 25-yard pass play from Seth Laut to Noah Korokis. The PAT made it 40-17 with 11:33 to play in the game.

Central scored two more fourth quarter touchdowns.

Laut completed 11 passes for 86 yards and a score. Korokis caught four for 40 yards. Parrish rushed 10 times for 56 yards and a touchdown. Laut had 12 carries for 54 yards. Logan Bowling carried eight times for 22 yards. On defense, Isaak Starkey and Jose Fraire each had three solo tackles and one assist. Parrish had two solos and four assists. Korokis recovered a fumble.

The Cats will play at St. Mary's (St. Louis) Friday night. The Dragons are 6-1 and coming off a 34-13 victory over St. Dominic, Friday.
