Freakytown was quite a success in downtown Fredericktown Halloween evening. Hundreds of families, adults, children and costume clad characters took advantage of the warm and clear fall day to gather the samples and candies the local businesses and individuals had to offer.  South Main St. East Main St. and West Main St. had several vehicles participating in the Trunk-or Treat fun too. A woman who loved her work and held the highest respect for education has left her legacy in the form of a memorial scholarship to Mineral Area College.

World War II Veteran Madison R. Stevens of Fredericktown was awarded a 60 membership pin (with hat) from the Fredericktown Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4320 on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, announces the following driver examination stations will have a change in hours of operation effective on November 2, 2009:

I missed out on the 20th Anniversary of Cherokee Pass Restaurant last month. I missed out on the cake which was beautifully decorated, and other goodies according to restaurant owner Nancy.  One of the  items I missed out on is the bottled salad dressing Cherokee Pass Restaurant is now offering.

The next meeting of Project Happy Feet will be at 5:30pm on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 in (Madison County Council on Developmentally Disabled) MCCDD's building 610 S. Chamber Drive.
