Acclaimed jazz soloist and world-class lead trumpeter Serafin Aguilar will be the guest artist for Mineral Area College's annual “Evening of Jazz” concert.
The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the MAC Fine Arts Theater. Admission for the concert is $5 at the door for general seating. The concert will feature guest soloist Aguilar, along with the MAC Jazz Ensemble and the MAC Kicks Band.
Aguilar is a trumpet player based out of Los Angeles. He has been a professional musician for two decades, spanning a wide genre of styles with an emphasis on stratospherical trumpet playing in the vein of Maynard Ferguson, Arturo Sandoval, and Jon Faddis.
From Latin, to pop, to jazz, this amazing trumpet phenom has quickly gained critical acclaim throughout the industry, and the world, for his strong musical abilities as not only a world class lead player but also a featured soloist. Having toured the world extensively, Aguilar has also had the honor of performing at all the top festivals throughout the world including but not limited to the North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Red Sea Jazz Fest in Eilat, Israel, and the Montreal Jazz Festival.
