We asked and the readers responded. Now some 80,000 votes later, and weeks of tallying the totals and putting together features on the winners, it's time to learn who made the cut in the “Best of the Parkland 2017."
The Daily Journal, along with the Farmington Press and Democrat News, sponsored the “Best of …” online competition as a way for readers to vote for their favorites and let everyone know which services and retailers rank at the top in the region.
The contest focused on nearly 100 categories in which readers could cast their vote. Each category had at least three businesses from across the region which fit in that area of expertise. Additionally, each category had a place for a “write in” in case your favorite was not listed.
In today's edition of the Farmington Press you'll find our "Best of the Parkland 2017" magazine. All the winners are named, along with the second and third place winners in each category.
You'll also find feature stories on some of the winners, more details of how the contest was carried out, and a story on the locally-owned iconic business in the region which received the most votes of anyone in all categories.
If you want an extra copy of the Best of the Parkland 2017 magazine stop by a Daily Journal, Farmington Press or Democrat News office.
