Julie Powers, Farmington native and a licensed Zumba instructor and Health & Wellness Cheerleader, will be our Special Feature at the Women's Connection Brunch catered by Coljac Artisan Cafe from 9:15 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 12 held at the First Baptist Church, 210 North A St., in Farmington.

Julie's mission is to "Inspire Healthy Living Around the World" and one aspect of a healthy life is to live with the joy that God desires for each of us. She will share some simple steps in helping us do that.

Guest Speaker, Ann Stauffer from St. Charles, was rescheduled due to the weather-related road conditions in April. She is a former elementary teacher who presents workshops and is also a mentor teacher. Her school district awarded her the Journey to Excellence Award, and Outstanding Teacher in Community Service and Education Award. She also will share her message "From Happiness to Joy" and will address what happens when you encounter situations that you cannot control. When life's road has been smooth and you suddenly encounter a boulder, what do you do? Choices have to be made! How do you handle these life situations.

Reservations/Cancellations for the $10 brunch are now required and can be made by calling Joan at 756-7226 or Lucy at 573-562-7492.
