The Missouri Chamber Federation is now offering a group health insurance program for small businesses. Members of the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce are eligible to take advantage of this exciting new program.

Affordable health insurance for employees of small businesses has been an on-going challenge, because of this concern, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce has worked to find better options for healthcare coverage.

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Missouri Chamber Federation has teamed up with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Missouri to create a new health program that can lead to more rate stability and is a smart solution that offers potential savings for groups with 50 or fewer eligible employees. This new self-funded medical offering called the MCF Benefit Plan, is a multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA). MEWAs enable smaller employers to join together to share in the overall claims risk. By being part of a larger, self-funded pool, employers have financial protection backed by Anthem’s stop loss coverage.

The chamber is hosting informational meetings at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Dec. 14 to assist in learning more about this important membership benefit. If unable to attend one of these meeting times, please contact the Chamber staff for assistance in setting up a time to speak with the insurance representative.
