PORT SAINT LUCIE, Fla. — Mary Ann “Pam” Friese of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away on October 14, 2013. Mary Ann earned a BS in Chemistry in 1949 from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, and in 1952 she married Robert Friese in Farmington, Missouri.

When they retired in 1984, they left the Wisconsin winters behind, moving to Florida’s southeast coast. They supported the arts and many wildlife organizations. During their years as active members of the Audubon Society’s Raptors Program, they witnessed the success story of the Bald Eagle’s removal from the endangered species list.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Yancey and Annetta White of Farmington, Missouri. Among those left to cherish the memories of her bright smile and bright mind are her husband Robert Friese of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; her brother Charles White and his wife Joyce of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri; four nieces, Sally Friese Hoffman and Laurie Friese Crummy, both of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Nancy Friese of Cranston, Rhode Island, Pat White of Phoenix, Arizona; one nephew, Mike White DVM of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri.

There will be no service and all arrangements have been handled by the Neptune Society. The family wishes to thank the staff of Saint Lucie Hospital and Treasure Coast Hospice.
