Spring signals a time for change
Spring ahead….The annual spring state of confusion is coming up when go to Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, March 14. Don't forget to set your clocks (car, home and wristwatch) ahead one-hour this Saturday night. For me that always results in a terrible tangle of trying to remember which ones I've reset (clocks at the office, in my bedroom, bath, kitchen, etc.) and those I haven't (car, microwave, coffeemaker, etc.). You get the picture. There always seem to be one or two I overlook for a week or two and then can't remember if I have or haven't when I come upon them. So, I may be late (or early depending upon which clock I've consulted) for appointments during the rest of the month.
Farmington is gearing up for spring
Pedaling for progress ... The Missouri Bicycle and Pedestrian Federation is partnering with MoDOT to identify the highest priority bicycle, pedestrian and American with Disabilities Act (ADA) projects in Missouri. Area residents were recently invited to submit their suggestions for improvements on Missouri roadways for cyclists, runners and wheel chair operators. A local meeting will be held at New Heights Church (one mile north of Farmington) on March 3 at 6:30 p.m. to review and discuss the proposed projects. A working committee will then prioritize and select five projects to be submitted to the Missouri Bicycle Federation. For more information about the meeting e-mail Virginia Blaine at tvblaine@sbcglobal.net .
