The Bonne Terre Chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet is set for Jan. 20 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Bonne Terre Chamber Executive Director Ron Allen said the chamber awards banquet is an annual event the chamber holds each year to honor individuals in the community who have gone above and beyond in their service to the community and the surrounding area.

“We have advanced tickets for $25 and at the door it will $30,” said Allen. “Tickets can be purchased at the chamber office in advance or at the door the night of the event. This is a chance for us, once a year, to pat people on the back and give those that deserve a little extra recognition that recognition.”

Allen said everyone is welcome and they don’t have to be a chamber member or be associated with it. They are all welcome to come and enjoy a nice evening.

“It’s not a really long evening, it’s a nice gathering and everyone always has a good time,” said Allen. “This is a super important night. Too often the folks who go above and beyond to do that little extra don’t get that recognition and this is a time to take care of that.”

Allen said there will also be live entertainment and there is a bar for those who would like to purchase drinks throughout the evening.

“We will also do the installation of the 2018 board of directors, which will be conducted by Jean Weber of Save A Lot Inc.,” said Allen. “So for the New Year we will have a new chamber president, Samantha McDowell, and returning as vice president is Susan Mullins. Julie Pratte will once again be the treasurer and Amy Keller, last year’s president, will remain on the board.”

Jason Loughary with KFMO/B104 will be the master of ceremonies for the evening. The awards that are going to be presented are the Daily Journal Citizen of the Year Award, KFMO/B104 Business Leader of the Year, Froggy 96 Elite Service Award, KTJJ/KREI 110% Award, Bonne Terre Chamber Lifetime Hall of Fame and there will be one Bonne Terre Chamber Special Chamber Award this year.

Appetizers will be served at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. and the awards will be presented at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the chamber at 573-358-4000 or email
