A Farmington man is being charged with two felonies after he allegedly raped a woman who was at his apartment.

According to a probable cause statement, on Sept. 24, a woman reported to the Farmington Police Department that she was raped and sodomized by Cerutti, who was an acquaintance. The woman told police that she voluntarily went to the apartment where Cerutti lives with the intention of watching television.

The woman said after entering Cerutti’s bedroom he locked the door and demanded that she remove her clothes and perform a sexual act on him. The woman explained during the interview that she was scared and nervous about Cerutti’s intentions were.

She also said she had no way to call for help and was unsure if Cerutti was going to hurt her or not. The woman said after she removed all of her clothing Cerutti grabbed her throat and slammed her onto the bed.

She told the officer she tried to stop his advances, but Cerutti forced the woman to perform sexual acts. She said she was intimidated and scared as she was forced to perform sexual acts on him.

She told the officer Cerutti then started choking her as he forcibly raped her against her will.

Cerutti is being held in the St. Francois County Jail on a $150,000 bond. A bond reduction hearing has been scheduled.
