Farmington Elks Lodge 1765 recently announced that Hunter Drake has been selected its Bismarck High School “student of the month” for November.

Drake has received a number of academic awards and athletic awards while a student at Bismarck. Among his honors are earning a spot on the honor roll, as well as language arts and early course exam recognition.

Drake’s participation in basketball and baseball garnered him all-conference status in both sports, as well as being named KFMO’s “Baseball Player of the Week. He has also been active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and likes to hunt and fish in his free time.

Drake plans to either attend a college where he can play baseball or go to Linn Technical School to be trained as a certified electrician. As student of the month, he will receive $100 for college expenses and compete for the Farmington Elks Student of the Year to be awarded in May.
