A trailer fire was reported 9:25 a.m. Tuesday on Route Y just west of Route D.

The trailer was unoccupied and did not have any utilities connected according to firefighters. The State Fire Marshal is investigating.

While a cause is not known, it appears the fire started in the rear bedroom of the trailer.

The trailer was severely damaged. The fire was under control by 9:45.

Firefighters from Big River Fire Protection were the first on the scene. Farmington, Bonne Terre, Park Hills, Leadington, Lake Timberline, Goose Creek and DeSoto Rural assisted. No one was injured in the incident.

Flu fire in Iron Mountain Lake

There was a flu fire reported approximately 8 a.m. near Mallard Road in Iron Mountain Lake.

The homeowner was not injured and made the call to 9-1-1.

Bismarck Fire was the first on the scene. According to Chief Steve Dickey, when firefighters arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the eaves of the roof and chimney area.

Firefighter's contained the blaze within 30 minutes. Damage to the home was mostly from smoke and water.

Departments from Farmington, Pilot Knob, Doe Run and Leadwood assisted.
