Two individuals were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday at 2:50 p.m. on Route N in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Isaac Hawthorn, 34, of Doe Run, was driving his 1995 Red Western Star Tractor northbound on Route N just north of King School Road when he crossed the center line.
Sarah King, 38, of Park Hills, was driving southbound on Route N in her 2014 Ford Fiesta when Hawthorn’s tractor hit the left front side of her car. King went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Both Hawthorn and King were both moderately injured and were wearing safety devices. They were both taken to Iron County Medical Center by ambulance.
Earlier that morning at 9:55 a.m. on Highway 21 in Washington County two individuals were moderately injured in a two-vehicle crash.
According to the report, Peggy Williamson, 75, of Potosi, was on southbound Highway 21 neat Pintail Road in her 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she stopped to make a left turn. Jessica Hartman, 18, of Caledonia, was inattentively driving southbound on Highway 21 in her 2013 Ford Focus when she failed to see the stopped car and rear -ended Williamson's vehicle.
Both of the women were wearing their seat belts and were both taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Ambulance with moderate injuries.
