Missing Reynolds County woman

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported that the missing woman has been found alive by a Reynolds County deputy. She had been involved in a vehicle accident. Her vehicle was a short distance from the roadway. 

ORIGINAL STORY: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has issued an endangered person advisory for Ellington resident Dorothy Brooks, 66, who went missing Wednesday evening.

Brooks was last seen on Highway U in Carter County Wednesday afternoon. She had a doctor’s appointment in Poplar Bluff, in nearby Butler County, but called to reschedule after she left her home.

She did not return home and her family grew concerned.

Brooks is a white female, with grey hair and brown eyes. She is 5 foot 4 inches and about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green and white striped shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes with green laces.

She was driving a silver 2012 Ford Edge with Missouri license plate AB8 G5P.

Anyone seeing the missing person or having any information related to the search should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency, or call the Reynolds County Sheriff's Department at 573-648-2491.
