POTOSI – Marjorie Lou Rugh of Steelville, Missouri, was born April 15, 1948, a daughter of the late Frank Edward Horton and the late Alice Ramo Horton. Marjorie departed this life February 1, 2018, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, having reached the age of sixty-nine years, nine months and seventeen days.
Marjorie was united in marriage to Robert Rugh Sr. November 13, 1966, and the couple were blessed with three children.
Marjorie attended Straightway Baptist Church in Steelville, Missouri. She loved her flowers and plants, and canning vegetables, jams and jellies. Marjorie loved to spend time with family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Horton; and brothers, Donald Horton, Jimmy Horton, and Jess Horton.
Marjorie is survived, by her husband, Robert Rugh of Steelville, Missouri; daughter, Amy Louis Lands and husband Samuel of Belgrade, Missouri; sons, Robert James Rugh and wife Jennifer of Potosi, Missouri, and Terry Adam Rugh and wife Crystal of Utah; sister, Linda Thomas and husband Elwood of Belgrade, Missouri; brothers, John Horton and wife Cheryl of Park Hills, Missouri, William “Bill” Horton and wife Vicki of Irondale, Missouri, Dennis Horton and wife Betty of Arkansas, and Danny Horton and wife, Katherine of Caledonia, Missouri; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Horton; and grandchildren, James Lands, and Daniel Lands.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Horton Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri, with Pastor Steven Thomas officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to attend a dinner at Liberty Baptist Church.
