Search continues for murder suspects

The Farmington Police Department is actively investigating the death of a man found in his home.

Farmington Police Chief Rick Baker said the cause of death of the 41-year-old man is pretty evident, but they are having an autopsy performed today.

“At 10:45 a.m. (Saturday) morning the Farmington Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Vandiver Court in reference to a check the well-being,” said Baker. “A neighbor and reporting party saw several bullet holes in the victim’s front door.”

Baker said when officers arrived they went inside and found the man, identified as Samuel Schulze, lying face down on the bedroom floor.

“Officers searched the residence to make sure no one else was present and the cordoned off the scene,” said Baker. “They called the coroner and the (detectives) for the department. The next of kin was notified and Schulze was transported to the county morgue.”

Baker said an autopsy is scheduled for this morning and they hope to release more information afterward.
