Jour De Fête

Each year, Project Pioneer honors historic French and German families at Ste. Genevieve's Jour De Fête celebration. The organization is looking for members of a German family with historic ties in both Ste. Genevieve and St. Francois Counties.

Ste. Genevieve Project Pioneer will meet with the Ste. Gemme Beauvais and Greminger/Gremminger families at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ste. Genevieve Library located in the Ste. Genevieve Community Center building on Highway 32.

Now that the winter holidays are over, it’s time to continue research on these families, gather photos and present them at this meeting. Meetings will continue on the second Saturday through July.

The schedule for the year includes a deadline for the majority of submitted information, which is needed by the May meeting. Pictures must be submitted by early June, and the final information on the families must be in by mid-July. After that only corrections will be accepted.

Anyone who wants to check family information already entered in the books may do so by asking for the family book at the library during their business hours.
