Several people were injured in separate area crashes Sunday.
A teen and a child were injured in a crash Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on Highway 21 in Washington County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jonathan Eddings, 19, of Potosi, was driving his 2000 Chevrolet Camaro southbound on Highway 21 near Tin Can Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
Eddings was wearing his seat belt and was seriously injured. His passenger, Parker Turntin, 11, also of Potosi, was also wearing his seat belt and received minor injuries. Both boys were taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Washington County Ambulance.
Later that evening in Ste. Genevieve County, three people were injured in a car crash off Misplay Road at 10:45 p.m.
According to the report, Kyle Peery, 23, of Bloomsdale, was driving his 2008 Honda Civic eastbound on Misplay Road east of Hillview Drive when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, over-corrected, went off the left side of the road, overturned and struck a tree.
Peery was seriously injured and taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance. His passengers, Kristopher Etchason, 23, and Brandon Cole, 18, both of Ste. Genevieve, received minor injuries.
Etchason was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by Ste. Genevieve County ambulance and Cole was treated at the scene by the ambulance district and released on scene. All three men were wearing their seat belts.
