Several people were injured in two accidents over the weekend on U.S. 67 at Route H in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway patrol report, Ashley Settle, 21, of Fredericktown, was driving northbound on U.S. 67 in a 2015 Mazda CX-5 when Mary Schneider, 77, of Mission, TX, was driving a 2012 Cadillac CTS eastbound on Route H.

Schneider attempted to cross U.S. 67 and drove into the path of Settle, causing Settle's vehicle to strike the passenger side of Schneider’s car.

While Schneider’s car was blocking the northbound lanes of U.S. 67, Angela Rose, 51, of Farmington, was driving a 1997 Saturn S2 northbound on the highway and was unable to avoid the previous crash, striking the driver’s side of Schneider’s car.

Settle was wearing her seat belt and received minor injuries. Schneider also received minor injuries, and her passenger, Gerald Schneider, 82, of Mission, TX, was moderately injured. They were both wearing their seat belts.

All three of them were taken by St. François County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center South. Rose was wearing her seat belt and received minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital by private conveyance.
