Three people were injured in separate accidents over the weekend throughout the area.
A Potosi woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash off Highway 185 Sunday at 6:15 p.m. in Washington County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sherry McMullin, 50, was driving her 1998 Chevrolet 2500 southbound on Highway 185 north of Lick Skillet Road when it went off the east edge of the road, overturned and was ejected.
McMullin was not wearing her seat belt and was taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Washington County Ambulance with serious injuries.
In an earlier accident at 9:50 a.m. in Jefferson County, two Potosi residents were injured in a one-vehicle crash off Highway 21.
According to the patrol report, Joshua Elmore, 27, was driving his 2000 Dodge Dakota northbound on Highway 21 south of Big River Heights Road when the vehicle slid on the slush-covered roadway and went off the side of the road striking a utility pole and a tree.
Elmore received minor injuries, while his passenger, Betti Elmore, 28, received moderate injuries. It’s unknown if either of them were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and both were taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Valle Ambulance.
