On behalf of Farmington Kiwanis with our friends on the SEMO Family Violence Council we are so grateful for the outpouring of generosity by people all over St. Francois County during our “Friends Helping Friends” drive just ended to benefit the SEMO Family Violence Shelter.
How great it was to partner with nearly 40 dropbox locations, and the response was tremendous. We had such great support from so many, notably the Daily Journal and Farmington Press. You all offered chances at a free subscription to all who gave and your readers’ response was amazing! New Era Bank opened all their branches to us and were so wonderful to work with. Redfields provided gifts, storage and boxes for our use. Serenity Hospice and US Tool did so well. The generous staff at First Bank Park Hills not only gave needed personal care items to overflowing, but then they took up a cash donation as well! And of course our friends the Farmington teachers and school employees responded as they always have. These are but a few examples. Our gratitude goes certainly to you and our friends at KREI for keeping this drive alive for those who read and listened.
Again, on behalf of those most in need in the aftermath of domestic violence right here in our area we say, thank you to all who gave to make this drive succeed!
