ST. LOUIS – Dmonta Harris and Fabio Sohnel netted season highs, and five players scored in double figures as the Mineral Area men’s basketball team continued a busy stretch on Thursday night.
The Cardinals entered halftime with a 17-point advantage, and consistently pulled away for a 95-54 road victory over Concordia Seminary.
Harris netted 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field while grabbing nine rebounds, and Sohnel tallied 12 points as Mineral Area (9-2) built a 44-27 lead through 20 minutes of action.
Lance Singh contributed 13 points while Bobby Parker and Kevin Hamlet had 10 apiece. Mineral Area produced 14 steals defensively.
Sohnel drained three of the Cardinals’ eight 3-pointers in the game. They will host Daley College on Saturday before facing Lewis & Clark on Sunday.
Siblings Noah Kegeley and Casey Kegeley paced the Preachers with 12 points each.
Roman Young dished out seven assists, and equaled Maurice Edwards with eight points in the win.
