NEVADA, Mo. – Three Mineral Area softball players were selected for the All-Region 16 First Team as released following the conclusion of its postseason tournament last Sunday.
Returning sophomore infielder Samantha Ratledge hit safely in 14 of her last 15 games, and surged to the top of numerous statistical categories for the Lady Cardinals.
She posted team highs with seven home runs, 57 hits, 44 runs scored, 13 doubles and 33 RBI. Her .375 batting average ranked second on the squad.
Kaelan Bradley moved from a reserve role in her freshman season to becoming a fixture in the MAC lineup from the leadoff spot.
The left fielder compiled 50 hits and 37 runs scored while batting .340 for the Lady Cardinals. Her 13 stolen bases were most on the team.
Freshman right fielder Ali Law completes the list of all-region choices after hitting .341 with five home runs and 21 RBI. She committed just one error in 47 games.
Mineral Area closed a 17-34 campaign on a seven-game losing streak after winning the Region 16 championship last year.
