PARK HILLS – The Mineral Area women’s basketball team bounced back from a rough home loss by smashing Malcolm X for the second time this season.

Reserve guard Dominika Skrocka scored a game-high 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc as the Lady Cardinals sank 14 3-pointers in a 78-29 victory.

Hayley Winter compiled 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds, and Allie Golden grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for Mineral Area (8-6).

The Lady Cardinals never looked back after closing the first quarter with a 25-6 advantage. The margin was 61-18 entering the fourth stanza.

Olivia White and Khiandra Perry each added nine points, and MAC shot 44 percent from the field.

Breneka Walker paced Malcolm X (1-12) with 12 points.
