IRONTON – The Arcadia Valley boys basketball team evened its season record against South Iron with a 53-44 victory on Tuesday after previously losing to the Panthers 53-48 during the Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament.
Arcadia Valley (3-4) held a 31-22 edge at the break, and often reached the free-throw line to maintain their lead through the second half.
Peyton Whited recorded 15 points for the Tigers, while Jeremiah Moore and Austin Wren each finished with 10. Cater Brogan contributed eight points in the win.
Brock Wakefield notched a game-high 20 points for South Iron (3-3), and Garrett Hovis added eight.
Bismarck 61, Fredericktown 58
BISMARCK – The Bismarck boys basketball team achieved a 23-12 run during the second quarter, and was ahead 33-27 at halftime against Fredericktown.
The Indians regained and maintained a late lead to defeat the Blackcats 61-58 and avenge a loss from last month.
Bismarck (2-6) frequently scored in the post, and was led by 18 points from Devon Warden. Hunter Drake contributed 17 points, and Austin Droege added 10.
Logan Winkelman and Seth Miller each notched 17 points for Fredericktown (3-4).
Central 75, St. Pius 54
PARK HILLS – Holden Mayberry recorded 22 points for Central in a 75-54 home win against St. Pius.
Brent Wagner and Jake Casey each finished with 12 points for the Rebels (3-2).
Jalen Thornton posted 17 points in the loss for St. Pius.
Saxony Lutheran 76, North County 63
BONNE TERRE – Trae Robinson used his 6-foot-8 frame in the post to record a team-high 22 points for Saxony Lutheran in a 76-63 triumph against North County.
Jalen Williams added 17 points in the win, while Austin Jarvis contributed seven points for the Crusaders.
Hayden Sprekel paced all players with 26 points for North County (5-2). Isiah Poirrier posted 11 points, and Hunter Johnson notched 10 in the loss.
Sprenkel drained two 3-pointers in the final two minutes of the second quarter to bring the score within 31-27 at the half.
Hillsboro 75, Ste. Genevieve 50
HILLSBORO – Hillsboro guard Garrett Lampkins recorded all of his points on five shots from beyond the arc, as the Hawks finished with 10 3-pointers against Ste. Genevieve.
Gabe Greminger notched 16 points for the Dragons, and connected four times from the perimeter in a 75-50 loss.
Chad Donze and Brandon Drury each added nine points for Ste. Genevieve (2-4).
Michael Brewer finished with 15 points, and Gaven Pinkley to 14, and Michael Keller posted 11 for Hillsboro (6-0).
The Hawks gained a 44-29 edge at the half after a hot start to the contest.
Valley 85, Viburnum 83
CALEDONIA – Viburnum senior Kinsley Payne recorded 23 of her career-high 55 points during the fourth quarter, and converted eight shots from beyond the arc in a losing effort on Tuesday.
Madison Lucas also notched a personal best with 40 points, and went 12-of-13 from the line in an 85-83 victory for the Lady Vikings.
Valley (5-3) ended 23-of-27 from the foul line as a team after going 32-of-38 in its previous contest on Monday.
Emma Rosener finished with 17 points, and Lexie Black contributed 13 to the win.
