HERCULANEUM, Mo. – Senior quarterback Mason Skaggs threw five touchdown passes, and the Valle Catholic defense limited Herculaneum to three first downs in a 56-0 victory on Friday night.

Carter Roth rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on four attempts, and made a team-high four catches for the Warriors (7-1, 4-0).

Ryan Grein added a pair of scoring grabs, and Kellen Blum notched a 43-yard touchdown run to help Valle Catholic surge to a 42-0 halftime lead.

Skaggs completed 18-of-21 passes for 208 yards while spreading that production among eight receivers. Tyler Blum tallied 51 yards while matching Owen Schweigert with three catches.

Chris Loida and Kyle Gielow found the endzone through the air, and starting lineman Warfield Jackson tacked on a touchdown run. Kolten Naeger was a perfect 8-of-8 on extra points.

Collin Grass and Jacob Bieser shared a team high with nine tackles, and Brendan Meyer equaled Dalton Kertz with eight apiece.

Garrett MacMillan and Kertz recorded sacks, and Brendan Weibrecht recovered a fumble. Each team committed one turnover.

Valle Catholic compiled 439 yards in total offense, and will host St. Pius for week 9 with designs on capping an unbeaten I-55 conference season.
