FESTUS, Mo. – West County responded to an early 12-point deficit and technical foul against head coach Chris Brewer with a pivotal 17-0 run on Wednesday evening.
Freshman Dori McRaven provided a massive spark off the bench with a game-high 23 points, and the Lady Bulldogs rolled to a 65-38 victory over St. Pius.
Jordan Stevens also shined with 16 points and 10 rebounds while making a perfect 10-of-10 free throws as West County (4-2) played its third contest in as many nights.
St. Pius surged ahead 14-2 over the first five minutes, but struggled to hit shots from there. The Lady Bulldogs found McRaven frequently within close range, and grabbed a 24-17 halftime lead.
Allee Drennen added 10 second-half points as West County shot 49 percent from the field and sank 17-of-25 attempts from the line.
Cheyenne Young finished with 11 rebounds and nine points in the victory.
