STE. GENEVIEVE – Senior middle hitter Avery Reed recorded 23 of the 34 Ste. Genevieve kills in a 24-26, 25-20, 25-18 home triumph over Saxony Lutheran on Wednesday.

Kloe Unterreiner was second in kills with four while Jennifer Humbolt and Haley Grass each added three for the Dragons (13-4-2), who prevailed in three sets for the second straight night.

Drue Lalumandier tallied 25 assists, and Reed contributed two blocks.

Farmington 2, Seckman 0

FARMINGTON – DeShay Tate and Jesse Miller each paced Farmington with eight kills in a commanding 25-6, 25-12 win against Seckman.

Sarah Bauer recorded 15 assists for the Knights, while Briley Thomas had seven and Ellie Reidt added five.

Emily Greif notched 10 digs for Farmington (13-7), and Blair Busenbark followed with nine. Macey Pauls added four kills.


Ste. Genevieve 9, Cape Central 8

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Ste. Genevieve scored two runs in the top of the 10th inning, and held Cape Central to just one in the home half to secure a 9-8 victory.

Julia Koetting finished 3-for-4 with a double to pace the Dragons, and Emma Nicholson added three RBI on a double and a single. Britani Clanton went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Lydia Koetting, Alyssa Huber and Emily Grass each added two hits and an RBI for Ste. Genevieve (8-7). Sally Grieshaber singled twice while Kaitlyn Kreitler and Sydney Oehlert had one hit apiece.

Huber went the distance and allowed seven earned runs with six strikeouts for the win. Cape Central pitcher Caleigh Huffman also worked all 10 frames while giving up eight earned runs on 17 hits.

Lizzie Turk led the Lady Tigers with four hits while Valerie Greenley doubled twice.


Notre Dame 9, Potosi 0

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Notre Dame breezed past Potosi for a 9-0 tennis victory on Wednesday.

Maggie Portell lost an 8-2 result to Lauren Powderly in the closest match of the day.

Notre Dame recorded three shutout wins, and held Potosi (2-8) to an 8-1 outcome on five separate occasions.

Farmington Tournament

FARMINGTON – Laiken Cash secured the lone victory for Farmington during its match play tournament at Crowne Pointe that featured 10 teams.

Cash finished two holes ahead of Fox’s Cassie Buchanan with one to play. Christen Ferris halved her contest for the Knights.

Farmington (1-3-1) placed eighth among team records while Ste. Genevieve dropped each of its four matches. Lafayette took the top spot with five of its six players notching wins.
