The most experienced varsity volleyball team ever fielded at Valle Catholic totaled 67 wins over the past two years, and earned consecutive trips to the Class 1 final four.

Four Lady Warriors have been fixtures in the lineup since their freshman seasons, and each was named again to the MHSVCA all-state team on Monday.

Junior outside hitter Lainey Bauman was the team leader in kills, and most of her ferocious swings were accompanied by six-rotation senior setter Taylor Siebert.

Other repeat all-state selections from Valle Catholic are senior libero Sydni Basler – who recently offered a verbal commitment to Mineral Area College – and senior middle blocker Riley Wolk.

The Lady Warriors followed their second straight MAAA Small-School title by winning the conference tournament, and ultimately placed third at state after taking second last fall.

Junior setter Macey Browers helped Arcadia Valley achieve 25 wins for a third consecutive year, and earned her third all-state recognition in Class 2.

The Lady Tigers are expected to return seven players from their regular rotation, and have produced at least one all-state performer in each of the last four years.

Ste. Genevieve advanced to the Class 3 quarterfinals after capturing back-to-back district crowns, and its dominant middle hitter picked up her first all-state honor.

Three-sport star Avery Reed posted a new single-season mark for kills with the Dragons, and is poised to sign with Missouri S & T later this week.
