Dora Meyermann

Dora Eleanora Meyermann of Farmington passed away on January 13, 2003, at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center at the age of 81 years. She was born on March 3, 1921, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter of the late John and Jennie Margaretha (Hansen) Pfitzer. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Pfitzer and Richard Pfitzer, and a sister, Mary Ehmler.

Before her retirement, she worked at Concord Lutheran School, Pagedale, Mo., as a first grade teacher. She was also a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Armin Meyermann, three daughters, Natalie (Mrs. John) Hartwig of Salem, Vir., Karen (Mrs. Joel) Berkeland of Canyon County, Calif., and Beata (Mrs. Dale) Halter of Chicago, Ill., a sister, Grace Pfitzer, a brother, Emil Pfitzer, seven grandchildren, Berith Hartwig, Shereth (Mrs. Peter) Tran, Daniel Berkeland, Matthew Berkeland, Jill (Mrs. Carlos) Mejia, Jacob Halter, and Andrew Halter, and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Mejia. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel after 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2003. Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dino Pacilli and the Rev. James King officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
