Ted Ruble
Vernon “Ted” Ruble of Farmington, passed away on February 3, 2003, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, at the age of age 86 years. He was born September 5, 1916, at Ellington, the son of the late Walter and Martha Ruble. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer “Doc” Ruble and Bud Ruble, and two sisters, Ruby Taunt and Bess Hunter.
Before his retirement, Mr. Ruble owned and operated a sawmill.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Black) Ruble, a daughter, Kay (Mrs. Don) Giessing of Farmington, a grandson, Eric Giessing and wife Donna of Farmington, two great-grandchildren, Kodi and Karli Giessing, two sisters, Bertha Faye Sencibaugh and Lucille Knaup, seven nephews: David Garner, Elmer Ruble, Jr., Vernon Ruble, John Knaup, Don Sencibaugh, Dwain Sencibaugh, and Sonnie Ruble, and six nieces: Angela Ruble, Mary Cromeens, Shirley Webb, Mary Kay Knaup, Sue Sencibaugh, and Patsy Johnson.
Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2003. Funeral services will be held at the Cozean Chapel on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. James King officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran School. This obituary is online at: .
