FHS Science Olympiad Team Wins 1st in Regional Tournament

The Fredericktown Science Olympiad team won 1st place in the regional tournament for the third year in a row. The team members competed in 15 separate events and placed 1st place, 2nd, or 3rd in each event. The challenging and motivational events are well balanced between the various science disciplines of biology, earth science, chemistry, physics, computers and technology. There is also a balance between events requiring knowledge of science facts, problem solving skills and science applications. The team’s success at the regional tournament demonstrates not only the individual efforts of the students, but also the ability of the students to work together as a team.
