Susie Saffell

BONNE TERRE — Susie U. Saffell, 103, Bonne Terre, died Feb. 28, 2003, at St. Joe Manor. She was born Aug. 29, 1899, in French Village to the late William and Ida Jones Richardson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Riley Saffell; son, Vernon M. Saffell; brothers: Lawrence, Carl, Ernest and Lynn Richardson; sisters: Jessie Richardson, Elsie Eaton, Nellie Weber Barnes.

She is survived by a son, William O. (Nina) Saffell, Bonne Terre; daughters; Naomi Aubuchon, Bonne Terre, Wanda Sue, Mrs. Orville E. Vogel, St. Louis; brother, Olin Richardson, Bonne Terre; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation 5 p.m. today at the C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home, Bonne Terre. Services 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church, Bonne Terre, with Rev. Ron Poole and Rev. Darrell Jauch officiating. Burial in Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Memorials to First Baptist Church, Bonne Terre or Baptist Home, Ironton.
