Four suffer injuries when vehicle fails to make curve

Four Desloge residents were injured in a one-car accident early Friday morning on Highway 8 and Church Street in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle, driven by Donald Casteel, 38, Desloge, was eastbound on Highway 8, failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a dirt embankment.

Casteel sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Sustaining minor injuries was Daralyn Williams, 20, Desloge, Robert Brown, 27, Desloge, Amanda Marshall, 24, Desloge. All three were taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center.
