Justin Freeman, 12, Richwoods, was severely injured in a one-vehicle accident on Route A, just south of County Road 306 in Washington County on Saturday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Freeman was injured in a collision between a vehicle, driven by Paul Dean, 25, Richwoods, and a bicyclist. Freeman was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital by Arch Helicopter while Dean sustained minor injuries and will seek individual medical treatment later.
In an unrelated accident, four people sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at Highway 21 and Delbridge Road in Washington County on Saturday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place when a vehicle, driven by Bobby Bourbon, 28, Potosi, was southbound and crossed over the center line and collided with the second vehicle, driven by Clive Hedrick, 16, Potosi, head-on.
Bourbon, Hedrick, Zachary McMahan, 16, Potosi, and Jessica Smith, 17, Belgrade, all sustained minor injuries and were taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.
A one-car accident left two people injured in an unrelated accident on Highway 21, five miles south of Arcadia Valley, in Iron County on Sunday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the vehicle, driven by Mary Pender, 66, St. Louis, was northbound, crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Mary and Earcel Pender, 78, St. Louis, sustained moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
In an unrelated accident, Clifford Moulton, 27, De Soto, sustained moderate injuries in a one-car accident on Highway 21, just south of County Road 417 in Washington County on Sunday.
Moulton was injured, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, when the vehicle he was driving was northbound failed to negotiate a curve to the left, causing the vehicle to travel off the east side of the roadway. Moulton’s vehicle then struck a mailbox and overturned several times.
Moulton was taken by Washington County Ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi.
In an unrelated accident, Richard Lyons, 31, Cadet, sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Sunday at Route CC and Cannon Mines Road in Washington County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred when a vehicle, driven by Lyons, pulled from Cannon Mines Road into the path of the second vehicle, driven by Frances Portell, 33, Cadet, which was westbound on Route CC.
Lyons was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Ambulance.
