Braves make it three in a row, beat Steamers
CALEDONIA — The Desloge Braves continued their perfect run through the Cal Ripken League Thursday evening. The Braves traveled to Caledonia to take on the Valley Steamers. Desloge broke out the bats to pick up a 15-6 win.
Ryan AuBuchon and Zachary Perry combined for the win. Tanner Beers led the Braves at the plate with a home run and a triple. Bradley Hopkins had a home run and a single. Matthew Edgar and Jeffery Wilfong each had a triple. Brandon Turner and Caleb Boyer each had a double.
The Braves are now 3-0 and will take on the Desloge Yankees on Monday. The Steamers will host the Arcadia Valley Cougars on Monday.
Twins 12, Flames 8
BISMARCK – The Bismarck Twins and the Fredericktown Flames squared off Friday evening. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Fredericktown but due to rain and field conditions the game was moved to Bismarck. The home field advantage paid off as the Twins picked up a 12-8 win.
Levi Barton picked up the win on the mound for Bismarck. Barton pitched six innings, gave up six hits, and struck out 12 batters.
Caleb Hagerty led the Twins at the plate with three singles. Alex Politte had a double and a single. Garrett Mathes, Robbie Eichenberger, Thomas McLain, and Garrett Mahurin each had a pair of singles.
Bismarck will travel to Farmington on Monday to take on the Padres while Fredericktown will host the Farmington Longhorns on Monday.
