Students still have time to register for summer classes

PARK HILLS — It’s not too late to register for Mineral Area College summer semester classes.

Early registration will continue through June 3 for summer classes. Returning students need to schedule an appointment to enroll between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Previous MAC students who have been enrolled at least one semester since fall 1981, and have no financial debt to the college, are eligible to enroll during early registration provided all admission requirements have been met.

Transfer and visiting students may also enroll during this period, provided all admission papers have been received. These students will receive registration information after admission papers have been received.

New, transfer, and visiting students should contact the Admissions Office at 518-2228 and submit an application for admission. The application fee is $15.

New day and evening students who plan to enroll in English or math courses are required to undergo assessment testing. Students planning to enroll in on- or off-campus evening classes in English or math who have not undergone assessment testing should call 518-2202 or (573) 518-2188 for a list of testing dates and times.

Final registration for summer day classes will be 8-11 a.m. June 4 and final registration for evening classes will be held on 6-7 p.m. June 4. Classes begin June 6.

Classes at Fredericktown, Winona, Perryville, and Potosi begin June 9.

Limited financial aid is available during the summer semester. Anyone requiring financial aid information should contact the Financial Aid office prior to June 1 at (573) 518-2133, to complete all arrangements prior to registration.
