Richard Lee Hafley

FARMINGTON — Richard Lee Hafley of Farmington passed away June 14, 2003, at his residence at the age of 70 years. He was born January 24, 1933, at St. Louis, the son of Louise Sturm Hafley Beeson and the late Marvin Lee Hafley. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Elaine Hafley and by a brother, Marvin Bruce Hafley.

Before his retirement, Mr. Hafley worked at the General Motors Assembly Plant in St. Louis. He proudly served his nation with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Regina Goedel Hafley; by seven sons: Richard Hafley of Desloge, Kevin and Jeffrey Hafley both of the home, Keith Hafley and wife Clarissa of Iron Mountain Lake, Mark Hafley of Farmington, Michael Hafley of Doe Run, and Regina Hafley of Fredericktown; by two sisters: Beverly Majors of Farmington, and Kathy Bradley of Perryville; by one brother, Paul Hafley of Farmington; and by 12 grandchildren and by three great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
