Mrs.. Lorene Sayles
FARMINGTON — Mrs. Lorene L. ‘Hughes’ Sayles, 85, passed away July 8, 2003, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor Nursing Home. Lorene was born on March 19, 1918, in Oats, Missouri, to Frank Hughes & Maggie ‘Wood’ Hughes. Also preceding-in-death was her husband, Charles Orville “Chic” Sayles, Sr. (August 1997).
Lorene was a member of Farmington First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Michele Hampton, of Farmington, Diane Moon & Larry Daskoski, of Bloomsdale, Missouri. 2 Sons: Charles Orville (& Sondra) Sayles, Jr., of Wannamucca, Nevada; John Paul (& Terry) Sayles, of Pevely, Missouri. 1 Sister, Byrdean ‘Mrs. Charles’ Vickery, of Farmington; 2 Brothers: Jim Hughes, of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; Ray (& Margaret) Hughes, of Corpus Christi, Texas. 8 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; several Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation Friday, 5-7 p.m. & memorial service, 7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, Farmington, with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Interment at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
