JROTC Visits
Wappappello Training Site
Saturday, September 13th, a group of Fredericktown High School Junior ROTC cadets visited the Missouri Army National Guard Training Site at Lake Wappappello. The cadets learned to tie a one-rope bridge and spent some time at the rappelling tower. Sergeant Jason Gipson, a graduate of Fredericktown High School and currently a Military Intelligence Non-Commissioned Officer in the Missouri National Guard, joined the group. He shared some of his experiences as Airborne Infantryman on active duty. Sergeant Gipson also showed the cadets some of his gear, such as his protective mask and body armor issued by the National Guard.
