Holiday ballet set for the Centene Center

Tickets go on sale Monday for “The Nutcracker” ballet with performances set for the Centene Center Dec. 4, 5 and 6.

The non-profit Young People’s Performing Arts Theatre is currently rehearsing for this year’s production of Peter Tchaikovsky’s classic tale. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Kimberly Anderson, the ballet features dancers from over 70 families from throughout the region. Alexander Forsythe appearing courtesy of The Rebecca Kelly Ballet in New York City will return as guest artist.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6. Beginning Monday, tickets will be on sale at the Farmington Civic Center for $10.50 each.

Dec. 4 will be Group Discount Night. Prices for groups of 20 or more will drop to $6 per ticket for that performance. To arrange for group tickets, call Kathy Green at 756-4387.
