chamber meeting

The Fredericktown Chamber of Commerce met on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at the Chamber office.

Mary Yancy, a member of the Big River Volunteers, a civil war reenactment group appeared before the Council. The group would like to present a living history demonstration on October 8th and 9th in conjunction with the County Fair. They are asking that the Chamber co-sponsor this event. The Chamber agreed to become a co-sponsor and are looking forward to bringing this event to Fredericktown.

Cecile Tuller reported the Beautification Committee is planning to sponsor the Christmas adopt-a-lamp pole again this year. The Committee is hoping that they will not be vandalized since they do make the downtown area more attractive. A letter of resignation was received from Karen Fulton. Names of persons to replace Karen can be submitted to the Chamber office.

The Lions Club has expressed an interest in co-sponsoring a concert with the Chamber next year. Jim Fox was elected as Chamber Representative to the Azalea Board.
