PARK HILLS — Ernest McElrath, 81, of Farmington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at his residence. He was born Aug. 15, 1922, at Bismarck.
He was a retired rural mail carrier, officer of the Missouri National Guard, and a real estate broker.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Harry and Ona Buxton McElrath.
He is survived by: His wife, Ann Kirk McElrath of Farmington; one son, Kirk and wife Nola McElrath of Farmington; one daughter, Linda Juarez of St. Louis; two grandchildren: Frank Lee Hobst of Kentucky, and Tanya, Mrs. Danny, Wilson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers: Gerald and wife Iris McElrath of Jackson, and Stanley and wife Patty McElrath of Tempe, Ariz.; one brother-in-law, Ming Lohman and sister-in-law Margaret. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home, Park Hills. Services will be at 1 p.m., Sunday at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley McElrath officiating. Burial will be at the Russell Heights Cemetery, Jackson. Memorials may be directed to St. Francois Manor, Farmington.
