City sets banquet for Friday night

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, R-8th, will serve as the special guest speaker at Friday’s Park Hills Chamber of Commerce Installation Banquet.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. at Elizabeth Hall. From 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. there will be a social with a cash bar.

Tickets can be purchased at the Park Hills Chamber of Commerce for $25 or call (573) 431-1051 for more information.

Entertainment will be provided by Sheriff Dan Bullock and the Deputy Band.

At 7 p.m. a dinner catered by Glenda Straughn will be served. Following dinner will be a presentation given by Emerson. Following that, recognition of retiring board members and the installation of new board members and officers will take place.

Several awards will be presented at the event including the Park Hills Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber’s Friend, the Daily Journal’s Citizen of the Year, KFMO / B104’s Sweat Equity Award, KREI / KTJJ’s 110 Percent Award, Froggy 96’s Elite Service Award and the Industrial Development Authority’s Community Development Award.
