Arcadia Valley and Bismarck net conference victories
FRANKCLAY – DeAnna Anderson scored a game-high 15 points and Tana Franklin chipped in nine points off the bench as the Arcadia Valley Lady Tigers edged the West County Lady Bulldogs 38-31 Thursday night. Tiffani Amburn led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points in the loss.
The game was back-and-forth throughout until the Lady Tigers pulled away in the fourth quarter. The teams were tied 8-8 after one quarter, and Arcadia Valley pulled ahead to an 18-16 lead at the half. West County battled back to re-tie the score 23-23 by the end of the third, but the Lady Tigers pulled ahead in the final quarter to earn a 38-31 victory.
Arcadia Valley improves to 9-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play. The Lady Tigers battle Bismarck on Monday.
West County falls to 2-10 overall and 1-5 in the conference. The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Monday when they travel to Valle to face the still-undefeated Lady Warriors.
Bismarck 71, Valley 7
CALEDONIA – Cassidy Wisdom scored 17 points and collected nine rebounds as the Bismarck Lady Indians defeated the Valley Lady Vikings 71-7. Rhyne Campbell led the Lady Cougars with five of the teams’ seven points in the loss.
The victory improves the Lady Indians’ record to 11-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play. Bismarck returns to action on Monday when they travel to Arcadia Valley to battle the Lady Tigers.
Valley falls to 0-14 with the loss. The Lady Vikings play again on Monday when they travel to Kingston to battle the Lady Cougars.
