Earl Davidson

BISMARCK — Earl Davidson, 71, of Bismarck, passed away January 23, 2004, in St. Louis. He was born November 18, 1932, in Gifford, son of the late Harry and Eva Mae Shockey Davidson.

Also preceding him in death was a sister Janet Lea Smith.

He is survived by his wife Charlena Davidson of Bismarck; two sons, Dion A. Davidson, E. Dale Davidson, both of Bismarck; one grandson, Christopher A. Davidson of Bismarck. Two sisters, Wanda Louise Agee of Pacific, Vera Jane Wilmer of Charolette, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Edwin Smith of Cape Girardeau. Two nieces and seven nephews.

Earl was a member of the Bismarck United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Farmington Norman L. Rigdon V.F.W. #05898, a member of the Bismarck Masonic Lodge #41 AF & AM, past master, 32nd degree mason. He was a member of he St. Louis Scottish Rite, member of the MSTA, member of the MARTA, and he was an extension instructor for MAC.

He retired from the Bismarck R-5 school system after 31 years as high school principal, and retired from the MORLC after 11 years of service. He was involved in the Bismarck Civil Defense. He was Boy Scout Master of troop #672 and a Reserve Deputy for the county.

Earl loved hunting ducks and fishing for the “Big One.” He dealt in collectible antiques for many years.

Earl served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and then the reserves for 11 years after.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Shipman Funeral Home.

Memorial graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Hospice of your choice.
